Coastal Hazards
Coastal hazards in France include floods and erosions. France has numerous floods every year due to much rainfall and extreme weather but, it a study has shown that due to global warming the sea levels in France will go up. A study that was done by the national adaptation strategy in France, concluded that low coasts will suffer erosion and be permanently submerged, and new zones will be temporarily submerged. Permanently submerged areas will affect many people. It will affect 140,000 homes and 80,000 people and 10,000 businesses that employ 26,000 workers and maybe even more today.
